In Memory

Wayne (Norman) O'Neill

Wayne (Norman) O'Neill

Wayne's daughter, Larisa, called Rosemay (Young) Thompson this afternoon to let her know that he had passed.

Wayne was Rosemary's dance partner in the Texas Starlets' Teen Square Dance group.  She has fond memories of those days in fifth thru tenth grade.  She also recalls that once, while teaching at Highlands, Wayne suffered a heart attack and was saved by one of his students.

A memorial is planned for 2 PM on Sunday, the 26th of February, 2017 at 2439 Trace Oak, San Antonio, TX 78232.

For more information, call Larisa at (210) 289-2719.

I remember how smart and funny Wayne was in Mrs. Koch's English class. He was a very kind person and one who will be missed!

i attended the tour of Highlands High School before it was torn down. Wayne was also on the tour. This was first time I had seen him in nearly fifty years. We had a great conversation and went down memory lane. I'm sorry to hear of his passing.

Bill and I were saddened to hear of Norman's passing.  His friendship over the years has been a blessing, and we will miss being able to share things with him.  Seize the day!

I am so saddened to learn of Norman Wayne's death. I remember his kindness and intelligence well from our high school time in Mrs. Koch's senior English class. I enjoyed our visits during HHS reunions prior to our move to WA. Our condolences to his family. Colleen (Pieper) Moore

So sorry to hear of Wayne's passing!  Our parents were good friends, and we spent many fun times together growing up.  Also, I enjoyed visiting with him and his wife at the Highland Class Reunions.  Praying that the Lord surrounds Wayne's family with His comfort, peace, and love during this time.
