Ron was a Chief Warrant Officer who flew helicopters in Vietnam. On the 31 of October, 1972, he died instantly of wounds suffered in a firefight in the Dinh Tuong Province of South Vietnam just 59 days after arriving in country.
Unlike many of our brothers, sisters, family and friends that passed away in Vietnam, Ron's body was recovered.
His name is on the Vietnam Memorial at Panel 01W, Line 088.

I remember Ronnie as a loyal band member! He loved band and he was a natural leader in the group. Ronnie died in Viet Nam, and I have found his name on The Wall in Washington, DC. I am sure many other classmates served in Viet Nam, and others gave the same sacrifice! Rest in peace, Ronnie. You will never be forgotten.Nancy Agnew (Peche)
