Liz Eubanks Pyatte

After graduating from Highlands, I graduated from Texas A&M with a BA in English. I then graduated from The University of West Florida with an MA in Instructional Design, followed by a Doctorate in Instructional Design from The Florida State University. After graduation, I spent several years working on secret government projects before joining IBM. At IBM I was the Global Executive for the Learning Profession for many years before retiring last year. I really love retirement.

James Wright and I were married for about twelve years. I have been married to one of my university professors for 29 years. We lived on the beach in Destin Florida for almost 20 years. After one too many hurricanes, we moved to Dallas to be near my daugher Anna. We live about a mile from each other and we just love it.

I absolutely loved my years at Highlands. The absolute best memory was being a Cheerleader. I still have my megaphone!!! Wonder if I could still jump over it....ah....no, don't think so!

A funny memory was having a slumber party at my house for about 75 girls. All was going reasonably well until someone put a sign up at the Frontier Drive In that I was having a slumber party. About a zillion guys showed up honking and hanging around the front porch. The neighbors called the cops! We were laughing so hard! My brother, Johnny loved it!
